Acne is a major problem all over the world. It is very common in teen years, but many people face it in their 30's and 40's. There are many over-the-counter products are available in market but it may have many side effects as well. Thats why we should consult good dermatologist before using any treatment.


Acne cannot be cured completely. Some people notice a clear face after starting any treatment, but when they stop that treatment they observe breakouts again. It varies from person to person. As we cannot completely cure acne but we may control acne by changing ourlife style and habits. There are some basic rule , by following them we can control our acne.

Diet:

the most important thing which considers as a  major source of acne is food. Its a most common myth that oily food may cause more breakouts of acne. According to research there is no connection between food and acne. But many acne sufferers has observed that by discontinuing any particular food they have control over their acne. So it is suggested that if you are facing acne then observe your food habits. If you think that junk or oily food is aggravating your acne then avoid it. Balance diet is very important for healthy life, so take every food but in balance quantity.

Make-Up:

Use non-comedogenic makeup products. Don't use harsh soaps and cleansers. Use a moisturizer for your skin type. Even if your skin is oily, don't ignore this important part of your daily routine. Your skin needs protection. Over drying your skin will not do any good: on the contrary, the oil glands will start working even harder. Wash your make-up off thoroughly every night.

Water:
Drink lots of water daily approximately 6 to 8 glasses of water. It will clean your body from toxins and keep your skin hydrated from the inside.

Hygiene:
If you workout regularly then take shower immediately after it because sweat can cause more breakouts.

Stress:
Stress is not directly related to acne but people thinks that stress may worsen your acne. Keep yourself relax, take moderate amount of sleep. Regular Yoga exercises will also improve skin and overall health.

Sun Exposure:
Acne medications may cause adverse reactions to the sun, so minimize your exposure until you know what the reactions going to be. If you're avoiding medications because of their often terrible side effects, then getting 10 to 20 minutes of sun exposure on your acne can be an excellent thing to do. But over exposing to sun may cause more acne breakouts.
