10 Greatest Home Remedies For Acne

Have you ever tried dealing with acne through tried and tested home remedies? Did you know that herbal plants like aloe vera, Gingseng extracts and neem leaves could treat acne inflammation? There are literally hundreds of home remedy treatments available for acne sufferers; only if we would just look. People do not take home remedies seriously and use them just for a day or two expecting instant result.

That is not the case. Home remedies take a long time to take affect-probably up to two weeks. They do not cause any severe side effects, but instead make your skin look more beautiful and gorgeous. Over the counter solutions or medications often fail to give this combination of acne treatment along with maintaining good skin. If you are reading it but still not believing it, we encourage you to try some of our remedies given below. But, remember take your time. Give the remedies at least two weeks to show you their worth.

1). Apple Cider Vinegar
Do not apply apple cider vinegar directly on your face. Instead use a face towel and soak it in the vinegar. Place the dampened cloth gently across your face and let it be absorbed for 10 minutes. After that rinse it away with luke warm water and pat dry with a fresh towel. The acid in vinegar will disinfect germs and remove dead skin, opening your pores and giving your face a fresh feel.

2). Honey
Apple cider may give off a strong smell, so you can always try a honey mask if you’re afraid of the smell. Apply a thin layer of honey and allow it to dry. After half an hour, rinse it off with luke warm water. The antibacterial qualities of honey kill acne bacterial and open up clogged skin pores.

3). Green Tea
You can also drink green tea while you can also use it as an exfoliant and face purifier. Boil the green tea and leave it to cool down. Once done, apply the water on your face and leave it on for half an hour. Do so twice a day and your face will feel stimulated and refreshed. You can use green tea compresses if you have dark skin.

4). Lemon Juice
You can use lemon juice with turmeric powder paste or with cinnamon powder. Apply for 10 minutes, then leave to dry. However, do not use this if you have sensitive skin. It could cause a tingling sensation.

5). Orange Peel
Orange peel paste is great for pimple treatment. Apply some on your face and see the results!

6). Fresh Mint
Make fresh mint paste and apply it to your face every night. This doesn’t only work for pimples, but is also great for insect stings and eczema along with any other skin infection.

7). Raw Papaya Juice for acne
Make a paste from raw papaya pulp and let it rest on your face. This is perfect for swelling pimples or occasional acne outbursts.

8). Milk and Lime Juice
Milk and lime juice can be combined and used as a face wash for treating pimples, black heads and cracked skin. However, you will have to boil the milk (use it gentle luke warm, not hot!).

9). Aloevera
The gel extract of aloevera is used on skin to disinfect bacteria and to give your skin a new rejuvenation. It doesn’t only help deal with skin problems, but leaves your skin fresh and vibrant.

10). Tomato Pulp
Apply tomato pulp on acne pimples and keep it up for one hour. Wash with luke warm water.
