Natural Supplements for Acne

Acne can be cured from taking natural supplements as acne in most cases is caused by deficiency of supplement. The following are some of the most notable supplements that help cure acne.

Vitamin B5:
vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) may also be useful in treating acne. Pantothenic acid is a water-soluble vitamin which helps all body cells produce energy. Excess amount of Vitamin B5 may cause occasional diarrhea and water retention.

Resources:

Meat, poultry, fish, whole-grain cereals and legumes are among the best sources. Milk, vegetables and fruits also contain varying amounts.

Vitamin B6:

vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) alleviated flare-ups of acne before the onset of their menstrual cycles.  Its deficiency causes depression, nausea, mental convulsions in infants and greasy, flaky skin. If you take it in excess amount then it can cause nerves damage.

Resources:

Chicken, fish, pork, liver, kidney, whole grains, nuts and legumes.

Vitamin B3:

For healthy skin vitamin B3 Niacin is very important. It helps nourish the skin.

Resources:

Meat, poultry, fish, whole-grain or enriched breads and cereals, vegetables (especially mushrooms, asparagus, and leafy, green vegetables), peanut butter

Zinc and Copper:

zinc helps in healing skin tissues faster and minimizes scaring. Its deficiency causes acne. Copper is a mineral that has been linked to elastin, which is what supports skin structure. Too much copper in the diet is dangerous. If you are taking zinc in moderate amount then take copper with it because zinc may cause copper reduction.

Resources:

oysters, lean meat, and poultry,  Fortified Breakfast Cereals, Beans

Omega-3 Fatty acids:

Omega-3 fatty acids strengthen the cell membranes to help them better absorb nutrients. They also prevent bacterial infection and inflammation.
