In this today's world of advance technology, every health problem have different treatment options. Acne is one of the most common skin disorder and it may be sign of other serious skin conditions.
Rosacea is a skin condition which is becoming common now a days. It is said that almost 15 or 16 million people are affected by it in USA alone.
As there are many option available for treating rosacea, Laser treatment is one of the most commonly used treatments for acne. Generally people are reluctant to try prescription medications due to their side affects. For these people laser treatment is a good option but the problem with it is that it has shown variable results. You will have to visit dermatologist before starting laser treatment so that dermatologist will check your skin and stage of rosacea, so that he can take decision if laser treatment is suitable for you or not.
Rosacea is more affective for Dilated blood vessels, persistent redness, thickening skin on nose and cheeks. These are sign and stages of rosacea and normally doctors treat these conditions with Laser treatment. There are different types of Lasers and they are affective for different condition. To select appropriate one is very important and it is important to do some research on it before jumping for laser treatment. Pulsed dye laser, KTP laser, diode laser, and Nd:YAG laser, they all are different types of lasers. In all these treatments pulsed dye lasers are considered best treatment and more affective then others.
Laser treatments have some minor side effects as well specially when a person undergoes laser treatment he becomes sun sensitive, and effectiveness of treatment depends on how less you expose your face in sun. To get maximum effectiveness from laser treatment, one should use sun screen SPF 15 or more to protect his/her face from sun. Side affects consists of crusting and spots of darkened skin on the treated areas but these side effects can be treated as well. Normally dermatologist give different creams for these side effects. But the best thing of laser treatment is that they have just minor side affects and they are temporary. Further more it is painless treatment. Laser treatment requires two or three sitting, 3 to 5 weeks apart depending on your skin condition. Remember Laser in most cases will not cure your rosacea completely but it will lessen the pain and redness from your face, make it less prominent.
