As Rosehip oil is rich in vitamin C in the form of essential fatty acids thats why it retains and attracts moisture for healthier and more youthful looking skin. It is very effective remedy for acne scarring, burns and marks of radiotherapy, in fading age spots, for reducing pigmentation, for wrinkles, and soothes sunburn.

Moisturizer and Scars:
Rosehip oil is widely used in many cosmetics and other skin care products. It is used in many moisturizer due to its moisturizing qualities.

Rosehip oil is available in market of different companies. You can use it independently. Just massage the oil on effected area like scars, sun burn or burnt skin with your finger tips until it is completely absorbed. It will lessen scars, stretch marks and age spots. It should be applied twice a day every day atleast for three months.

Facial toner:
For facial toner, Boil a cup of water and infuse chamomile, marigold and rosehip tea (rosehip is also available in the from of tea), add two drops of lavender oil. Cool it at room temperature. It is a good toner for skin.

The only side effect of this regimen is sun sensitivity. You can get rid of this side by applying sun block. When ever you massage your skin in a day time just use good sunblock before going outside. It is normally recommended that do not use it directly on acne but it is beneficial for scars after acne.
