Some causes of acne development identified include mental stress, changes in the environment, allergic reactions and hormonal shifts in the body. The acne condition can start to develop when the sebaceous glands excrete a large amount of oil that clogs the pores of the skin causing bacteria and dirt to manufacture within the pores of the skin. The treatment prescribed by dermatologists varies based on a person’s type of condition and the extent of its severity.
