Pimples, acne, zits and cysts and nodules, all are different names of more or less the same skin problem. They all are different stages of acne which is most common skin disorder now a days. People at least once in their life time have to face it. Specially in teen years when hormonal changes are at its peak, acne or pimples appear in abundance.
In teen years youngsters are more conscious about their looks and when they get pimples on their face they become frustrated and depressed. But it is not restricted to teen age, it can appear in adult years as well.
Everyone want to know the exact reason behind pimples, so that they can treat the root cause of it and get rid of pimples permanently. Many researches have been conducted to find out the reason but still the root cause is unknown. But most of the scientists are agreed that pimples are caused by hormonal imbalance. Some other reason may include heredity, poor diet, vitamin deficiency and stress. There are some more unknown reasons which are not fully understood yet. We will discuss every cause of pimple one by one.
Hormones:
when male hormones (present in males and females both) react overly and produces more oil (sebum). It causes them to clog pores in which acne bacteria gets trapped. If these pores remain slightly open to air, it turn dark due to oxidization., which form blackheads. When oil is not removed from these clogged pores, a whitehead forms. And when these whiteheads or blackheads gets infected and inflamed, it is converted into pimples. To control hormones there are many medicines available, but they have some side effects. Before starting any medicine, consult your dermatologist to discuss its side effects.
Heredity:
it is believed that if anyone in family suffer with acne or pimple once in their life, there is a chance that other family members and their children may suffer with it as well.
Poor Diet:
People say that their pimples get cured after restricting their diet. Scientists do not agree with this theory but there is no harm to restrict your diet to healthy food and things that suit your skin type. Eat every thing but in balance amount. There are many food allergies as well which affects your skin. Try to observe your food habits and notice after which food your face breakout or pimples and avoid that particular food.
Vitamin Deficiency:
Vitamin deficiency is another reason of pimples. Certain vitamins are essential for our skin, like vitamin A, B and Vitamin E. try to take food which are rich in these vitamins.
Stress:
Stress has no direct link with pimple or acne but stress produces more androgens which causes more oil production. Try to avoid stress as much as you can. Take sufficient amount of sleep, do exercise daily and try to take part in stress relieving exercises.
