Acne is a widespread dilemma that a majority of people suffer from due to factors ranging from mental stress, environmental factors, hormonal shifts in the body and various other reasons. The androgen hormone induces the sebaceous glands to excrete excessive amounts of oil that clogs the skin pores.  Bacteria and dirt accumulates within the clogged pores leading to acne formation. Various kinds of treatments are available from over the counter medication such as benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid or in severe cases oral medication in the form of antibiotics are prescribed such as accutane that carry severe side effects therefore it is recommended that before undergoing any kind of treatment a person consult a relevant dermatologist who can prescribe the right form of treatment to determine the risk level involved.  Homemade remedies are a more natural and organic form of treatment that carry little or no risk, are cost effective and the treatment not only improves acne but also improves the health of the skin overall.

Some very common and useful homemade remedies include the use of mint juice, lemon juice, honey, rosewater, herbs such as  tea tree oil well known for reducing acne scars and lacerations on the skin. A certain amount should be applied onto the skin from 5 to 10%, too little will not be an effective cure and too much can actually make the acne worse or even damage the skin. Botanical products can also be categorized as part of home remedies that can be very useful for acne treatment. These include willow bark that is generally found in many non comedogenic skin care products, a well known product is the boscia willow bark acne breakout treatment.  Other remedies include aloe vera that contains vitamin C, vitamin E and Zinc that helps reduce inflammation, scarring and improves the skin complexion overall.

The kinds of treatment are numerous from use of coffee, garlic, orange and cucumber. Fresh fruits and vegetables cannot only be applied onto the affected areas but can also be consumed to improve the digestive system and the health of the body overall.

The general symptoms of acne include dark spots, acne scars, blackheads caused as a result of clogged pores that accumulate with bacteria or oil making the skin look unhealthy as well as leading to acne. The basic treatment includes over the counter medication that contains salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. When used in minute amounts the medication can prove useful however it does not cure acne completely. It is always better to improve one’s health to get the best results, the reason being that it is less costly, it improves ones overall wellbeing, hygiene and routine as well as make the likelihood of acne developing far less likely. Fruits and vegetables should become a person’s best friend. They contain the right dosage of vitamins and minerals that work towards healing and improving an individual’s health as a whole.

Pineapple in particular according to research like many other fruits holds healing properties. It contains vitamin C which works as an ascorbic acid. This fruit is best known to heal acne scars and diminish dark spots and blemishes to a great extent. One useful remedy can be to blend crushed pieces of pineapple. The mixture should be applied directly onto the skin and left for at least 15 minutes. The face can then be gently rinsed off with lukewarm water. The treatment is most effective when the mixture is used on a regular basis. This is not only a cost effective way to reduce acne but also means to improve ones health.

For people suffering from acne a healthy diet is always a better option compared to a extensive treatments. Broccoli in particular is a vegetable with a low glycemic index, in other words it is a consumable food item that does not induce massive amounts of glucose into the bloodstream which can cause acne breakouts. Broccoli and other green vegetables can help reduce particularly to kinds of acne such as acne vulgaris caused as a result of comedones and acne conglobata that creates cysts on the skin and leads to acne scarring.

Green vegetables contain B-5 or pantothenic acid in ample amounts which can help create red blood cells and decrease the anxiety level. The recommended dosage level is 1mg to 7 mg and can be taken as a supplement to clear up the acne. Taking green vegetables works naturally towards improving the body not only on the inside but the outside as well. Another plus point is that taking broccoli is more healthy and natural way to get rid of acne and does not lead to severe side effects.

Natural treatments are considered by health experts to be the best solution for improving health conditions. According to study it is not only necessary to just consume the right type of food items but to abstain from food that induces acne. Dermatologists have discerned that generally people suffer from acne because sufficient amount of glucose does not flow to the blood towards the cells of the body creating a deficiency of energy required. It is recommended that to avoid spread of acne or acne breakouts sugar, dairy products and oil are completely cut out from a person’s diet. Acne is a problem that when left untreated in its initial stages could lead to something severe as acne cysts. When acne cysts occur all you can experience is pain and itchiness. Your face becomes a plethora of pimples and boils. And using over the counter medications for acne cysts only worsens the situation. You should visit a dermatologist for any acne cyst that occurs. Other than that, you could try these basic home remedies that will help you deal with the cysts. These home remedies are harmless and could prove to be very effective if done on a regular basis.

Baking Soda

I often recommend baking soda for people who suffer from severe acne cysts. This is because baking soda is a strong oil removal agent. However, people who have dry skin should consult an expert before using this. But since acne mostly occurs due to clogged pores, this could be applied on the specific inflamed area instead of the whole face. This is helpful in removing excessive oil and keeps the face oil free. Mix baking soda with water, add in a pinch of sea salt and make a paste. Apply it on the affected cyst for overnight and wash it off in the morning. You will see an inflamed cyst loosing it’s intensity.

Apple Cider

Apple cider vinegar has strong anti-bacterial property that could kill the bacteria on the cyst and help stabilize the pH balance of the skin. It does not have any side affects of dryness or whatsoever issue. The healing quality of this product helps you overcome acne naturally and quickly.

Aloevera

The aloevera gel has strong healing properties and is mostly recommended for facial beauty. It has been around for centuries and has proved to be an effective fighter of common as well as cystic acne.

Besides all this, cleanliness and washing of face with water and a mild cleanser is very important. All makeup should be washed off before sleeping and keep beddings neat and tidy. At all cost avoid squeezing and picking the cysts.

Back acne is often caused by the excess production of sebum by the sebaceous glands, and when this happens, the sebum clogs the pores and the oil and dirt remains stuck in that pore, which is why the skin becomes inflamed and acne is produced. Most of the time back acne is also a hereditary disease which becomes even harder to cure.0

Curing acne is not a very simple process as you do have to identify the cause of it and what treatment suits it best. If chemical drugs are used then it is necessary to get this information as mostly there are allergic reactions and side affects which could be a very intimidating factor. However, if you plan to go herbal, holistic and want to use home remedy for the back acne, then you have to understand that it is not an overnight process. Unlike facial acne, back acne takes time to go away. The acne could be small, big, cystic or even mild. Whatever it is, you can always try harmless ways of curing it, so as to not damage your skin further.

The first most important remedy is to keep your body clean as well as dry. For the back try using cooling powder after shower. It’ll help keep it dry and smooth and also controlling the sweat. Try to be in a cool environment as the heat could start making the back acne itch real bad. Avoid wearing clothes that are tight fitting, or are made of nylon, silk etc. Choose cotton based clothing that are loose and allows your skin to breathe. Wash clothes with detergents that you know won’t cause any allergic reactions. Make sure the bed sheet, pillow cover is clean and washed with anti-bacterial agents. Again do not use fancy bed sheets, but instead opt for cotton ones as they are cool and soft. Finally avoid sleeping on your back all the time. That may create perspiration, so instead opt to sleep in a side pose. Home remedies can include lemon, tomato, oatmeal and mint masks. These masks will work, only if you give them ample time and do them regularly. Do not expect quick results with just one ritual.

  • If you see an acne occurring and want it to go away by morning, then apply a dab of toothpaste on the infected area and wash it off in the morning. You can also use calamine lotion for the purpose. Do this procedure two to three times a day until the pimple goes off.
